Clonakilty GALLEY HEAD Single Malt Irish Whiskey comes from the innovative Clonakilty Distillery on the rugged Atlantic coast in the south of Ireland. Named after the striking Galley Head lighthouse on the coast of West Cork, this single malt Irish Whiskey reflects the maritime character of its origins. The distillery is renowned for its combination of traditional Irish whisky-making and modern cask maturation, resulting in particularly well-balanced and aromatic bottlings.
Only malted barley is used for this Irish single malt whisky. After distillation, the whisky is initially matured in ex-bourbon casks, before a finish in selected wine casks lends it additional complexity and aromatic depth. Storage near the Atlantic coast creates a unique ageing environment, which gives Clonakilty Single Malt Irish Whiskey its characteristic style with fruity and spicy nuances. At 40% ABV, this West Cork Irish Whiskey is smooth, rounded and elegant.
