The Legendary DARK SILKIE Irish Whiskey 46% ABV 0.7 l + GB is a characterful Irish whiskey blend from the Sliabh Liag Distillers Distillery in County Donegal, Ireland. The Silkie Irish Whiskey range is inspired by the legendary figures of Irish folklore – the so-called Silkies, mystical sea creatures from Celtic mythology. With the Dark Silkie Irish Whiskey, the distillery presents a particularly powerful and smoky interpretation of the traditional Irish whiskey blend.

For this bottling, carefully selected single malt whiskies and grain whiskies are blended together. Some of the malts used are dried over peat smoke, giving the whisky a distinctive smoky and maritime aroma. Maturation takes place predominantly in ex-bourbon casks made from American white oak, which lend the whisky additional depth as well as notes of vanilla and sweetness. At 46% ABV, this Irish whisky is deliberately bottled at a higher strength to bring out its aromatic diversity particularly clearly. It is supplied in a gift box, making this bottling an excellent gift for whisky lovers.
