Named after the year 1787, when the first sugar mill was established in Trinidad, this Angostura rum pays tribute to the island’s historic sugar cane heritage and combines it with modern rum-making expertise. As a carefully composed blended rum, this bottling combines selected distillates that have been aged for at least 15 years in the distillery’s warehouses.
The long ageing in oak casks gives Angostura 1787 rum its particularly well-rounded and complex character. During ageing, the 15-year-old rum develops an impressive aromatic depth, characterised by a balanced combination of sweetness, spice and ripe woody notes. The result is a multi-layered premium Caribbean rum that impresses with its elegant structure and luxurious mouthfeel, perfectly reflecting the characteristic style of Angostura rums.
