Mezan The Unaltered Rum Dominican Republic 2012 46% ABV 0.7 l + GB is a distinctive single-origin rum from the Dominican Republic, synonymous with authenticity and unadulterated rum quality. The philosophy behind the Mezan The Unaltered Rum Series is to present rum in its purest form: with no added sugar, no colourings, unfiltered at cold temperatures and characterised solely by careful cask maturation.


This Dominican Republic rum was distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2022, giving it an age of 10 years. Distillation took place in multi-column stills, whilst maturation occurred initially for 3 years in the tropical climate of the Caribbean and subsequently for 7 years in Europe. The aged rum was stored in selected ex-bourbon casks, allowing a balanced interplay between the cask character and the structure of the distillate to develop. The release is also limited to 5,500 bottles worldwide, making this limited-edition rum particularly appealing to collectors and connoisseurs of authentic rums.
