Produced from heavily peated barley with a phenol content of 57 PPM, this heavily peated Speyside whisky ranks amongst the more powerful examples from its region. Maturation takes place exclusively in first-fill bourbon casks, resulting in a clear structure with fresh vanilla notes. Matured for nine years in carefully selected oak casks, the Benromach Peat Smoke 2014 develops a harmonious blend of sweetness, fruit and smoke. Bottled at 46 per cent, without unduly altering its natural structure, this peated single malt from Speyside offers an authentic, expressive profile.
