The Kraken Black Spiced Black Cherry & Madagascan Vanilla is an intensely aromatic variant from The Kraken Rum Company, which enhances the distinctive character of the well-known Black Spiced Rum with fruity and sweet notes. It is based on a Caribbean spiced rum, refined with natural flavours of black cherry and Madagascan vanilla. Legend has it that sailors once carried black cherries and vanilla pods from Madagascar to arm themselves against the dangers of the legendary Kraken. Over time, this blend gave rise to a distinctive fusion that is now regarded as a unique interpretation of the classic Kraken style.


Bottled at 40 per cent and presented in a generous 1-litre bottle, this spiced rum with cherry and vanilla combines intense fruitiness with a spicy depth. The Kraken’s characteristic dark, caramel notes are complemented by juicy black cherries, whilst warm woody undertones and vanilla provide structure in the background. This is not a classic rum, but a rum-based spiced spirit drink in which the aromatic elements clearly take centre stage.
