The Inchdairnie KinGlassie 8 Years Old Double Matured Fife Single Malt Scotch Whisky comes from the innovative Inchdairnie Distillery and epitomises a contemporary reinterpretation of traditional Scottish whisky-making. The Fife-based distillery takes a holistic approach, from grain cultivation to bottling, consistently relying on regional raw materials and modern production methods. The aim is to produce single malt Scotch whisky with a clear provenance, technical precision and exceptional depth. The KinGlassie is a heavily peated Fife single malt Scotch whisky, distilled exclusively for two weeks each year during the winter. It is made exclusively from Fife barley malt, which is peated with mainland peat to over 50 ppm. Maturation takes place as a double-matured whisky over a total of eight years in the distillery’s Lager. The whisky is first aged for five years in ex-bourbon casks made of American oak, before being transferred to Amontillado sherry casks for a further three years. Bottled at 46.3 per cent, non-chill-filtered and with no added colouring, this bottling retains its full body and cask character, embodying uncompromising quality with a distinct signature.
