The Opthimus 12 Master Selection PX Cask Finish 40.4% vol. 0.7 l is an expressive rum from the Dominican Republic, characterised by precise maturation, balanced sweetness and an elegant cask finish. Produced by Oliver & Oliver, this bottling is based on carefully matured rums with a minimum age of twelve years, which, following traditional cask ageing, undergo an additional Pedro Ximénez sherry cask finish. This targeted secondary ageing lends the Opthimus 12 PX Cask Finish additional depth and a finely integrated, sweet-wine-infused structure, without masking the rum’s distinct character.
At 40.4% ABV, this PX Cask Finish rum is smooth, rounded and yet complex. The Master Selection range is characterised by a particularly meticulous selection and blending of casks, with balance and harmony taking centre stage.
