The Aberlour 16 Years Old Double Cask Matured is an exquisite Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, renowned for its depth, elegance and harmonious balance. Produced at the historic Aberlour Distillery, founded in 1879 in the heart of Scotland’s Speyside region, this bottling epitomises masterful maturation and fine craftsmanship.
As the name suggests, the whisky is matured in two carefully selected types of cask – ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks. This combination brings together the best of both worlds: the gentle vanilla sweetness and creaminess of the bourbon casks, and the rich fruitiness and spice of the sherry casks. The long maturation period of at least 16 years results in a complex, multi-layered whisky with a soft, rounded texture and a refined depth of aroma. With an alcohol content of 40 % vol., the Aberlour 16 Years Old is smooth, warm and perfectly balanced. The 0.02-litre miniature bottle offers an authentic premium experience in a compact format – ideal for collectors or tastings.
