The Rey Campero Mezcal Espadín 48.4% vol. 0.7 l is a high-quality artesanal mezcal from Mexico that combines traditional craftsmanship, regional raw materials and centuries-old distilling skills. It is produced by Rey Campero ("King of the Village") in Candelaria Yegolé, Oaxaca - a region that is considered the centrepiece of mezcal culture. The brand stands for authenticity, sustainable cultivation and the close connection of the mezcaleros to their homeland.


This mezcal is made from 100% Agave Espadín (Agave angustifolia), which takes between 8 and 12 years to reach full maturity. After the traditional harvest, the agave hearts are cooked in underground earth ovens with wood fires, then ground in stone mills (tahona) and fermented in open wooden barrels. Distillation takes place in small copper stills, resulting in an intense, multi-layered and authentic character. With an alcohol content of 48.4% vol., the mezcal is strong, complex and full of expressiveness.
