The distillery has been producing whisky since the early 20th century, combining Japanese precision with a clear focus on barrel management and balanced flavours.


Akashi Takumi is a fine blended whisky that is characterised by its special post-maturing process. After the basic maturation, it is given a finish in selected sherry casks, which gives it additional depth, fruity sweetness and an elegant spiciness. With an alcohol content of 40% by volume, it is pleasantly mild and round, but remains complex and multi-layered thanks to the sherry influences.
