The Poli Grappa di Bolgheri Sassicaia 2019 is an elegant vintage grappa distilled from the high-quality pomace of the famous Tuscan wine Sassicaia - one of Italy's most renowned red wines with international cult status. The grape varieties used, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, come directly from the Tenuta San Guido vineyards in Bolgheri. The grappa is produced in the Poli Distillerie in Veneto, a family-run distillery with a long tradition dating back to 1898. Distillation takes place discontinuously in copper stills under vacuum - a process that is particularly gentle on the flavour. After distillation, the grappa matures for several months in French oak barrels, which gives it a complex structure and fine wood flavours. Bottled at 40 % vol. and presented in an elegant tin box, this grappa stands for sophisticated enjoyment with origin and signature flavours.
