The family business has been dedicated to rum production since 1908 and is now one of the most respected distilleries in Central America. The rum is produced using only the company's own sugar cane juice and molasses, which are fermented in the traditional way and distilled in modern column stills. The rum is then matured for at least 12 years in carefully selected oak barrels, most of which previously contained bourbon. This long barrel ageing in Panama's tropical climate ensures an intense variety of flavours and a perfect balance between sweetness, spice and wood tones.
