Penderyn PEATED Single Malt Welsh Whisky 46% offers a distinctive Welsh take on a peated whisky and deliberately emphasises a more subtle smoky character than many classic, heavily peated expressions from Scotland. Penderyn’s Peated Welsh Whisky is produced in Wales using the distinctive Faraday Still, which plays a key role in the distillery’s light and clearly structured style. Rather than medicinal or very heavy peaty notes, this bottling combines gentle, aromatic smoke with vanilla, green apple and fresh citrus. The result is a well-balanced single malt in which the smoke complements the fruity base profile without overpowering it.

At 46% ABV, the Penderyn PEATED Single Malt Whisky from Wales has sufficient body to present the fruit, vanilla and smoke clearly alongside one another. Particularly distinctive is the balance between light peaty smokiness and fresh citrus, which gives the whisky a style markedly different from many heavily peated single malts. Green apple provides freshness, vanilla offers a soft sweetness, and the smoke remains present right through to the medium-length finish. The 0.7-litre bottle is therefore particularly well-suited to lovers of lightly smoky single malt whisky who are looking for an accessible introduction to peated styles or a distinctive alternative to classic Scottish Peated Malts.
