One example of this is the Island Signature Yellow Snake Jamaican Amber Rum. The name and packaging – a black bottle with a yellow label – are intended to pay tribute to a species of snake endemic to Jamaica. The rum is a blend of up to 20 different distillates from various distilleries across Jamaica. The ageing period for these distillates varies between three and eight years, with the rum being matured in ex-bourbon casks made from American white oak.
This rum has been produced in small batches with a relatively low alcohol content, which underlines its exclusivity and craftsmanship. The emphasis is on a balanced appreciation of its quality and uniqueness.
