Ron Arehucas Carta Oro is a dark rum from the Canary Islands and is produced by the long-established Destilerías Arehucas in Spain. The distillery is located on Gran Canaria and is one of the archipelago’s best-known rum producers. Carta Oro is made from sugar cane molasses, which is then distilled using a column still. Following distillation, the rum is aged in wooden casks, which lend it additional body and its characteristic golden-brown colour. With this bottling, Arehucas combines the long tradition of Canarian rum production with an uncomplicated style, designed both for enjoyment on its own and for use in classic mixed drinks.
