Suntory Hibiki Japanese Harmony is a renowned blended Japanese whisky from Suntory, embodying the Japanese concept of harmony, precision and balanced whisky production. The blend is created by marrying various malt and grain whiskies from Suntory’s Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita distilleries. Whiskies from several types of cask and at different stages of maturation are incorporated into the blend. Components from American white oak, sherry casks and Japanese Mizunara oak play a particularly important role. Master Blender Shinji Fukuyo and his team harmonise the individual components to preserve the elegant and multi-layered style of the Hibiki range. Japanese Harmony is bottled without an age statement at 43% ABV in a 0.7-litre bottle.

The design of the Hibiki Japanese Harmony also reflects the brand’s Japanese philosophy. The distinctive bottle features 24 facets, representing both the 24 hours of a day and the 24 traditional Japanese seasons of the Sekki calendar. The name Hibiki roughly translates as ‘resonance’ or ‘after-sound’ and refers to the harmonious interplay of the various whisky components. The Hibiki brand was launched in 1989 to mark Suntory’s 90th anniversary and has gone on to become one of the best-known Japanese whisky ranges internationally. With its combination of Yamazaki malt, Hakushu malt, Chita grain whisky and Mizunara oak, Hibiki Japanese Harmony embodies Suntory’s time-honoured blending expertise in a modern form.
