Edition 61, produced by the ALDEA distillery in the Canary Islands, is a young rum from the 2022 sugar cane harvest. After distillation, the rum was transferred from the Tres Hombres steel tank into ex-Armagnac and ex-Cognac barrels, which were then stored in the ship's hold for transport.

The sea voyage took around six months, with destinations in the Caribbean and the return, before the spiced rum was bottled in July 2023 with an alcohol content of 45%. Honey from La Palma was also added to the rum, making it a Ron Miel, a typical Canarian speciality. The spiced rum is characterised by its distinctive honey notes, which are complemented by the subtle finish of the grape brandy barrels and enhance its depth of flavour and complexity.

The bottle labels are adorned with motifs of the Tres Hombres and their adventurous voyages. The bottles are sealed with natural corks and sealed with beeswax.

This wax is enriched with colour pigments ground from natural materials in a traditional windmill in Zaandam, giving the bottles an authentic and environmentally friendly finish.

A total of 982 bottles were produced.
