John Glaser, an employee of a well-known British distillery, initiated a turning point in the whisky world in 2000.

Together with his team at Compass Box, he has created textures and flavours by combining very old single malt and single grain whiskies from renowned Scottish distilleries from their own cask stocks.

The blended Scotch "Art & Decadence" is based on whiskies up to 22 years old from Sauternes, Marsala and Madeira casks. This limited edition is inspired by the decadence movement of the late 19th century and offers opulent flavours of fruit, toffee, vanilla, chocolate and oak.

The whisky is not chill-filtered, which means it retains its natural flavours and oils, and it is also uncoloured, meaning its colour comes solely from maturation and cask type.
