Rick Caribbean XO 8 Years Old Smooth Rum is a matured Caribbean rum that combines at least eight years’ cask ageing with a deliberately smooth and balanced style. The XO designation emphasises the focus on longer ageing and a more complex character within the Rick range. During its eight-year maturation period, the rum develops a harmonious balance between the original sugar cane distillate and the influences of cask ageing. With an alcohol content of 40 per cent, this bottling is designed to be an accessible pleasure to drink, without allowing the matured character to fade into the background. The compact 0.5-litre bottle complements the range of the Austrian brand Rick Spirit, which offers various speciality spirits in addition to gin and liqueurs.

The Rick Caribbean XO 8 Years Old is aimed in particular at connoisseurs who prefer a mature Caribbean rum with a smooth character. Several years of ageing lend the distillate additional depth and structure, whilst the influence of the cask blends harmoniously into the overall profile. Unlike Rick’s non-alcoholic Caribbean Cane Spirits, this bottling is a 40 per cent rum designed for classic spirits enjoyment. The combination of its Caribbean origins, eight years’ ageing and XO character makes it an appealing choice both for the home bar and as a digestif. At the same time, the understated bottle size offers an alternative to the usual 0.7-litre bottles and underlines its distinct positioning within the Rick portfolio.
