The Glenfiddich 40 Years Old Time Series No. 18 is an exceptionally long-matured single malt Scotch whisky from Speyside, and is one of the Glenfiddich Distillery’s most exclusive bottlings. A distinctive feature of its production is the ‘Remnant Vatting’ method employed by Glenfiddich. In this method, the Malt Master sets aside a portion of the previous 40-year-old blend and combines it with the selected casks from the next release. This creates a continuous link between the individual releases, whilst each edition simultaneously develops its own character. The 40-year maturation period ensures exceptional depth and complexity, which Glenfiddich compares to the rock strata of a landscape formed over millennia.


The Time Series No. 18 continues this rare concept and is bottled at 44.6% ABV in a 0.7-litre bottle. Glenfiddich was founded in 1887 by William Grant in Dufftown and remains part of the family-owned company William Grant & Sons to this day. It is precisely the combination of four decades of maturation and the special ‘Remnant Vatting’ process that makes the Glenfiddich 40 Years Old an outstanding collector’s bottling for connoisseurs of very old Speyside single malt whiskies.
