The name "Non Plus Ultra" stands for the pursuit of the highest quality and goes back to the Latin expression for "not beyond" - a symbol of perfection and the limits of the known. The La Galante edition is dedicated to the ship Santa Maria La Galante, on which Christopher Columbus once reached St Croix and the West Indies. This complex rum blend is based on carefully selected distillates from the Caribbean and Central America, which are matured in oak barrels that were previously filled with dessert and liqueur wines. The result is a particularly full-bodied, round and deeply structured spirit characterised by floral and citrus nuances.


Each batch of this A.H. Riise Non Plus Ultra La Galante is limited to a maximum of 2,000 individually numbered bottles and is presented in an elegantly faceted carafe and a high-quality gift box. Historically, this premium spirit drink refers to the important sugar cane tradition of St. Croix, where over 200 sugar mills once processed more than 30,000 acres of sugar cane and thus formed the basis for the region's rum production.
