Founded in 1995 by Hans Reisetbauer, the Reisetbauer distillery has established itself in Axberg, Upper Austria. A special feature of the distillery is its focus on sustainable agriculture: all the raw materials required for production are grown and harvested organically on the company's own fields. The entire process, from bottling and labelling to packaging the bottles, is carried out manually and with the utmost care. With the arrival of Hansi Junior, the company underwent modernisation, which is reflected in the new design of the packaging, labels and brand name, combining tradition and innovation.

The production of the 4X50 Finely Distilled Superior Rum, under the direction of Hans Reisetbauer, took almost ten years. This rum, 82% of which is produced in-house, is matured in high-quality Ysper oak barrels. The additional 18% of the rum is sourced from contributions from two Jamaican distilleries as well as selected distilleries in Guyana, Nicaragua, Venezuela and Guatemala. With a sugar content of less than 3 grams per litre and an alcohol content of 40.5%, the 4X50 offers fruity and smoky flavours.

Described as a "social rum", this superior rum was developed as a collaboration between friends, which is reflected in the name 4X50 - a number that pays tribute to four collaborators and fifty friends.
