The Writer's Tears is a deep tribute to the Irish whiskey style of the last century and the writers and poets of Ireland are also honoured with this whiskey.

George Bernard Shaw, Oscar Wilde and Samuel Beckett are just a few of the world-famous Irish writers who are said to have been inspired by Irish whiskey. Especially when things weren't going so well with their writing. Hence the name: Writer's Tears.

With this whisky, Writer's Tears presents its first single pot still bottling. This whisky is triple distilled and initially matured in bourbon casks. For an additional, deep flavour, the whisky undergoes a further maturation phase in selected Pedro Ximenez sherry casks from Spain and in Florio Marsala hogsheads from Sicily before it is bottled. These carefully selected casks give the whisky an exquisite complexity and a rich variety of flavours.
