Since its founding in 1879, Barton 1792 Distillery has been the oldest distillery still in operation in the centre of Bardstown, Kentucky, the heart of bourbon production. Set on an impressive 196 acres, it houses 29 warehouses for the careful barrel aging of its bourbon, in addition to 22 other buildings, including an impressive distillery house and the famous Tom Moore Spring. The distillery's name honours the year 1792, when Kentucky officially became part of the United States, and reflects the pride and historical heritage associated with the production of high-quality bourbon.

For connoisseurs of bourbon, it is well known that full proof bourbon is prized for its distinct and intense depth of flavour. A special feature of this bourbon is its special filtering process, which, unlike usual, does not involve chill filtration. Instead, the bourbon is simply passed through a plate and frame filter. This allows the original alcohol strength and a full-bodied, rich and intense flavour to be retained until bottling. 1792 Full Proof Bourbon is bottled at its original alcohol content of 125 proof, a process that has stood the test of time and makes the bourbon an outstanding whiskey.
