The Glencadam Small Batch AMERICAN OAK Reserve Bourbon Barrel Matured is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky in which maturation in American oak takes centre stage. For the American Oak Reserve, Master Distiller Robert Fleming personally selects bourbon casks from Kentucky, in which the whisky develops its characteristic cask-influenced style. The whisky is then stored in the traditional Dunnage Warehouses at the Glencadam Distillery, whose classic architecture has been used for the maturation of Scotch whisky for generations. Through maturation in ex-bourbon casks made of American oak, this bottling combines Glencadam’s elegant distillery character with the influence of the casks previously filled with American whisky. The single malt is bottled as a small batch with an alcohol content of 40 per cent.


The Glencadam Distillery is based in the Scottish Highlands and, with its American Oak Reserve, deliberately focuses on a clear cask profile. Unlike bottlings with additional sherry, port or wine cask finishes, this whisky concentrates on the characteristics of selected bourbon barrels. Consequently, maturation in American oak barrels is the defining characteristic of this expression. The personal selection of casks by Master Distiller Robert Fleming, as well as storage in the traditional Dunnage Warehouse, underline the artisanal approach behind the Glencadam American Oak Reserve.
