Maison Ferrand, a family business since 1989, was founded through the collaboration of Alexandre Gabriel and the Pierre Ferrand family, one of the oldest Cognac producing families in France. The company's headquarters are in Paris, but the cognac is produced in the legendary Grander Champagne region, which is known worldwide for its first-class cognacs.

The name "Sélection des Anges", which translates as "Selection of Angels", refers to the high quality and lengthy ageing process of this cognac. The Sélection des Anges is a blend of 25 to 35-year-old eaux-de-vie aged in new, medium-toasted oak barrels before being transferred to used Cognac Ferrand barrels, which gives the cognac a particularly complex and balanced structure.
