These include George Bernard Shaw, Oscar Wilde and Samuel Beckett, who were particularly inspired by whisky in times of creative crisis, which is reflected in the name "Writer's Tears".

The Writer's Tears Double Oak Irish Whisky owes its name to the special maturation process in which two different types of wood are used. This premium whisky is matured in both American and French white oak casks. The combination of these two types of wood gives it a pronounced depth and complexity of flavour.
