Writer's Tears is an Irish whisky that is traditionally triple-distilled and matured in American oak bourbon casks. This whisky pays tribute to the Irish whisky style of the last century, as well as to Ireland’s famous writers and poets, who are known for their love of Irish whisky. These include George Bernard Shaw, Oscar Wilde and Samuel Beckett, who drew inspiration from whisky particularly during times of creative crisis – a reference captured in the name ‘Writer’s Tears’.

Writer’s Tears Double Oak Irish Whisky owes its name to the special maturation process, which utilises two different types of wood. This premium whisky is matured in both American and French white oak casks. The combination of these two types of wood gives it a distinct depth and complexity of flavour.
