MarlinSpike Blended Aged Rum is an exceptional blended aged rum, 40 per cent ABV, in a 0.7-litre bottle, which combines traditional rum-making with a modern vision. The name MarlinSpike derives from the marlinspike – a tool used by sailors to untie stubborn knots on sailing ships, which symbolises a spirit of discovery, teamwork and craftsmanship. For this blend, rums aged for between 3 and 5 years from Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago and other Latin American countries are blended together. A matured Jamaican pot still rum adds extra depth and intensity, whilst another Latin American rum lends the blend freshness and balance. The result is a multi-layered premium rum that combines classic rum tradition with innovative aromas.
