The Japanese whisky distillery "Akkeshi" began its journey into the world of whisky production in 2016 and has since worked continuously to build its reputation in the international whisky community. The distillery is located on the island of Hokkaido, a location carefully chosen by founder Keiichi Toita. Toita, a great lover of Scottish single malts, was convinced by Hokkaido's climatic conditions, which are very similar to those in Scotland and therefore offer ideal conditions for the maturation of whisky.

Following the production of numerous new-make spirits, which have already given promising insights into the distillery's potential, Akkeshi's first single malt is now available on the market. This first single malt impressively demonstrates how the combination of Japanese precision and Scottish tradition can result in an exceptional whisky.
