This Irish whiskey is produced by the independent West Cork Distillery, which is renowned for its artisanal production and focus on quality. The whisky is initially matured in first-fill bourbon casks, allowing it to develop its characteristic vanilla and caramel notes. It is then finished in Quinta da Boeira port casks, which impart additional depth and a fruity sweetness. This two-stage maturation ensures a harmonious blend of bourbon cask character and port cask aromas. With an alcohol content of 43 per cent, the West Cork Port Cask Finished Single Malt is well-balanced and approachable, yet aromatically complex.
