The Smokehead EXTRA RARE Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky Gold Design 40% vol. 1 l + GB is an exclusive travel retail edition, developed specifically for the international travel retail market, which showcases the distinctive character of the island of Islay in particularly attractive packaging. Behind the name Smokehead lies a closely guarded Islay single malt Scotch whisky, the exact origin of which the distillery deliberately chooses not to disclose. It is precisely this mysterious origin that forms part of the brand’s special appeal. The striking Gold Design Edition is available in a generous 1-litre bottle, complete with a high-quality gift box, and is aimed at connoisseurs of full-bodied, smoky Islay whiskies.

Maturation takes place in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks, resulting in an exciting blend of intense smoky notes, maritime influences and subtle fruity accents. Typical of a classic Islay single malt whisky, the Smokehead Extra Rare displays robust peaty smoke, earthy nuances and the characteristic salty freshness of the Atlantic coast. At 40% ABV, this bottling is well-balanced and approachable. Its amber colour, enhanced by the addition of colouring, emphasises the bold character of this exceptional Islay whisky.
