Description
Bonpland Rum XO Premium Reserve, with an alcohol content of 40 % vol. and a bottle size of 0.5 l, is an exceptional blend of rums from various Caribbean islands – including Trinidad, Guyana, Jamaica, Barbados, Guatemala and Nicaragua. This exquisite rum pays homage to the French doctor and naturalist Aimé Bonpland, bringing together the region’s finest rums in a fine spirit. The rum is first matured in bourbon and barrique wine casks before undergoing a third stage of ageing in sweet wine casks, which lends it a distinctive complexity and mature sweetness.
The multi-stage cask maturation ensures a harmonious balance of woody, fruity and spicy notes, making this rum a unique experience. Bonpland XO Premium Reserve is characterised by ripe aromas of dark fruits, caramel, spices and a pleasant sweetness, which culminate in a smooth, long-lasting finish. It is ideal for enjoying neat, on the rocks or as a base for rum cocktails that benefit from its complex flavours.
