Ypióca Envelhecida Reserva Especial OURO is distilled from fresh sugarcane and then aged for at least two years in special Brazilian Freijó wood casks. This distinctive wood lends the Brazilian cachaça its characteristic aroma, with soft woody notes and an elegant spiciness. The designation ‘Envelhecida’ indicates that at least 50 per cent of the cachaça used has been aged for at least one year in wooden casks with a maximum capacity of 700 litres. With an alcohol content of 38 per cent, this matured premium cachaça is pleasantly smooth, round and well-balanced.
