SEDUCTIVO - born from a Styrian vision, created in Cartagena, Colombia. The search for the "perfect rum" gave Mario Reisenhofer from Weiz the idea for a unique project with the Colombian rum producer Dictador.

Several samples had to be sent from Colombia to Styria in order to find the truly perfect rum. When it finally lived up to its name (SEDUCTIVO = seductive, enchanting), Mario Reisenhofer also developed the design of the bottle and packaging. The result was black and silver packaging as a visual expression of the noble contents.

SEDUCTIVO is also an exceptional rum from Dictador in terms of flavour. Silky and noticeably sweet, but still with all the familiar characteristics of a typical Dictador rum: delicate chocolate notes and aromatic tobacco flavours, as well as caramel and dried fruit notes that have been added through the Langs sherry maturation process. Exotic spices, citrus notes and a fine almond/hazelnut flavour are added to the aroma.

SEDUCTIVO was distilled in Cartagena in 1994. 70% of it was distilled in column stills, 30% in alambic pot stills. Ten of the most valuable barrels from the Dictador warehouse were personally selected and masterfully blended by Hernan Parra for this limited special bottling. As always with Dictador, subsequent sugaring was of course out of the question. Incidentally, only sherry casks were used for bottling, in which the SEDUCTIVO was allowed to mature for a full 6 years. Prior to this, the same rum spent 18 years in ex-bourbon barrels. Like many single cask bottlings, the SEDUCTIVO is therefore not a Solera rum, but has been aged in casks for a real 24 years!
