Highland Park Distillery was founded in 1798 and is one of the oldest and most renowned whisky distilleries in Scotland. It is located in Kirkwall on the Orkney island of Mainland, making it the most northerly distillery in Scotland. Surrounded by rugged nature and stormy seas, Highland Park's whisky reflects the unique climatic conditions of the Orkney Islands. Today, the distillery belongs to The Edrington Group and produces around 2.5 million litres of whisky every year.

Highland Park Full Volume is a special creation by Highland Park's Master Whisky Maker, inspired by the art of music. Just as musicians carefully tune their notes, the Master Distiller harmonises the flavours of this whisky.

Full Volume consists of whiskies matured exclusively in ex-bourbon casks. In 1999, 481 casks with a volume of 200-250 litres were filled, in which the whisky was stored at an alcohol content of 63.6 to 63.7 percent by volume. After filtration at around 4 °C, the whisky develops into a creamy, slightly smoky delight. Bottled in 2017, this whisky is presented without additional colouring and embodies pure craftsmanship.
