Description
Blasius Kräuterbitter 32% is a distinctive Austrian herbal liqueur, whose recipe is inspired by traditional monastic knowledge and the diversity of Alpine flora. A total of 56 selected herbs and roots give it its complex, delicately tart character. It is named after Brother Blasius, a monk from the Monastery of the Grey Monks in Neuberg im Mürztal, whose knowledge of local herbs – according to the brand’s history – laid the foundations for this style more than 400 years ago. Today, Blasius Kräuterbitter is produced by Austrian Brands GmbH in southern Burgenland. The company has been producing spirits since 1978 and combines traditional recipes with modern quality assurance and IFS-certified production standards.
With an alcohol content of 32% vol., the Blasius Kräuterbitter from Austria is robust and well-balanced, with bitter orange, gentian, juniper and liquorice accompanied by spicy root and resin notes. Its warm, long-lasting herbal character makes it particularly appealing as a digestif, whilst its tart profile retains sufficient presence even in long drinks. The sales unit comprises 36 miniature bottles of 0.02 l each, totalling 0.72 l, making it ideal for the hospitality industry, events, tastings or serving in individual portions. Blasius Kräuterbitter 36x0.02 l combines Burgenland’s spirit-making heritage, a historic herbal tradition and practical single-serving portions to create a versatile bitter speciality.
