Diplomático Planas is an exceptional white rum from Venezuela that impresses with its complexity and elegance. Despite its clear colour, it is an Extra Añejo rum that is aged for up to six years in American oak casks before undergoing a special charcoal filtration process to achieve its crystal-clear appearance. This method preserves the deep aromas and subtle flavour nuances characteristic of Diplomático rums, whilst maintaining a smooth and balanced texture.

With an alcohol content of 47% vol., Diplomático Planas offers an intense yet smooth tasting experience. The combination of different distillation methods – pot still, batch kettle and column still – ensures a harmonious balance between robust, aromatic notes and a pleasant lightness. This makes it not only an excellent rum for discerning neat drinkers, but also the perfect base for elegant cocktails.
