These Cuban roots continue to shape the brand’s style to this day, whilst production now takes place in the Dominican Republic. Matusalem 7 is made from sugar cane molasses, which is distilled using the column still method. A key role is then played by the Solera process, characteristic of Matusalem, in which rums of varying ages are blended together. This results in a consistent, harmonious style that combines traditional Cuban-influenced rum-making with modern production methods.
