Pow-wow Botanical Rye Straight Rye Whisky is a fascinating reinterpretation of a traditional straight rye whisky, inspired by the ancient recipes of the early American settlers. They brought not only the art of distilling to the New World, but also their own customs and beliefs. Over time, a unique blend of folklore and mysticism emerged, which became known as ‘Pow-wow’ and is deeply rooted in American culture.
Based on an ancient Pow-wow recipe, in which rye whisky was combined with herbs and spices, this exceptional whisky is matured in new, charred oak casks and then infused over an extended period with carefully selected botanicals such as saffron and orange peel. Unlike conventionally flavoured spirits, no extracts or artificial colourings are used here – the flavours are derived exclusively from natural ingredients and traditional methods. This combination gives Pow-wow Botanical Rye a harmonious balance of spicy, fruity and floral notes, setting it apart from classic rye whiskies.
