Peychaud's bitters are still produced according to a secret original recipe that relies on selected herbs, roots and plant-based ingredients. Compared to other cocktail bitters, such as Angostura, Peychaud's is distinguished by its characteristic reddish colour and its slightly sweet, aniseed-accented aroma with floral and bitter notes.
