Ron Zacapa Centenario RESERVA LIMITADA 2014 is an exclusive limited edition from Guatemala, with an alcohol content of 45 per cent, in a 0.7-litre bottle complete with a gift box. This special edition, crafted by Master Blender Lorena Vásquez, is based on carefully selected rums aged between six and 24 years, which are blended together using the Solera system characteristic of Zacapa. Maturation takes place in the Guatemalan highlands and involves various types of cask. After the rum has been in contact with, amongst other things, Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, the Reserva Limitada 2014 undergoes a further refinement: First, it matures for a further six to seven months in heavily charred American white oak casks, followed by another six to seven months in Oloroso sherry casks.


This additional cask treatment clearly distinguishes the Zacapa Reserva Limitada 2014 from the house’s regular bottlings and results in a complex, elegant and comparatively less sweet style. The combination of rums of varying ages, Solera ageing, heavily charred American white oak, and Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks makes this strictly limited vintage edition particularly appealing to connoisseurs and collectors of high-quality Zacapa rums. With a robust 45% ABV, it also boasts a higher bottling strength, which brings out the multi-layered character of the casks particularly well.
