In the picturesque landscape of Riegersburg in Styria, Alois Gölles is the third generation to run the traditional family fruit-growing business. After graduating from the renowned Federal College for Wine and Fruit Growing in Klosterneuburg, he dedicated himself to refining his parents' harvest of apples, pears, plums and peaches. He began distilling fine brandies in 1979, followed by the founding of his high-quality vinegar factory in 1984. Today, the range includes around twenty fine brandies and just as many types of vinegar, which are regularly recognised.

Gölles Alter Apfel apple brandy matures for over eight years in oak barrels, developing a fine aroma of vanilla, wood and roasted flavours. This Styrian interpretation of the classic calvados captivates with its ripe fruit flavours and mild woody notes, which are obtained from the distillation of the fruit.

With an alcohol content of 40%, Gölles Alter Apfel is a strong brandy that is particularly popular with lovers of intense flavours and fans of robust whisky.
