In the picturesque countryside of Riegersburg in Styria, Alois Gölles is the third generation of his family to run a fruit-growing business steeped in tradition. After graduating from the renowned Federal College for Wine and Fruit Growing in Klosterneuburg, he dedicated himself to refining his parents' harvest of apples, pears, plums and peaches. He began distilling fine brandies in 1979, followed by the founding of his high-quality vinegar factory in 1984. Today, the range includes around twenty fine brandies and just as many types of vinegar, which are regularly recognised.

Gölles cherry brandy Herzkirsche is carefully matured for 2 years in glass balloons. The heart cherry is probably the most aromatic member of the cherry family. At first, its fragrance may seem delicate or even shy on the nose, but the first sip reveals a full-bodied fruity flavour. Its deep, warm and spicy notes make connoisseurs rave and turn the heart cherry brandy into a special treat.
