Highland Park Distillery was founded in 1798 and is one of the oldest and most renowned whisky distilleries in Scotland. It is located in Kirkwall on the Orkney island of Mainland, making it the most northerly distillery in Scotland. Surrounded by rugged nature and stormy seas, Highland Park's whisky reflects the unique climatic conditions of the Orkney Islands. Today, the distillery belongs to The Edrington Group and produces around 2.5 million litres of whisky every year.

Highland Park Thorfinn is one of the six exclusive bottlings in Highland Park's Warriors Edition series. Named after Thorfinn, the most powerful Manner of his time who completely controlled the Orkney Islands, he is described in the Orkney Saga as an important chieftain. His remains rest in St Magnus Cathedral on Orkney, which underlines his historical significance.

This whisky is not only impressive in terms of flavour, but also visually: Presented in an elegant box decorated with gold and piano lacquer, it stands out as a special collector's item. Compared to the other whiskies in the series, Thorfinn has the highest proportion of ex-sherry casks, which gives it exceptional depth and an intense, rich character.
