Description
El Jimador Tequila Reposado 100% Agave Azul is a premium Mexican tequila from Jalisco, produced exclusively from 100 per cent blue Weber agave (Agave Azul). This Reposado tequila is produced by the historic Casa Herradura Distillery, one of Mexico’s oldest and most renowned tequila distilleries. The name El Jimador pays tribute to the skilled jimadores who harvest the ripe agave plants by hand, thereby laying the foundation for authentic agave tequila.
After harvesting, the agave hearts – known as piñas – are gently cooked to release their natural sugars. This is followed by fermentation and a double distillation, which gives this 100 per cent agave tequila its characteristic style. As a Reposado tequila, El Jimador is then aged for several months in oak casks, giving it additional depth and a particularly harmonious balance between fresh agave and subtle woody notes. At 38% ABV, this Mexican Reposado tequila is smooth, well-rounded and versatile.
