The Togouchi Japanese Blended Whisky Rum Cask Finish 43% vol. 0.7 l + GB expands the Togouchi range with an innovative bottling that bears a distinct Japanese character and has undergone an exceptional cask finish. This Japanese blended whisky is distilled entirely in Japan, in the stills at the Sakurao Brewery & Distillery, and is subsequently matured in the brand’s distinctive storage facility, a historic railway tunnel. The blend consists of 15 per cent malt whisky and 85 per cent grain whisky made from unmalted barley, which gives the whisky an elegant structure and clean Linie.


Like the entire Togouchi range, this expression is initially matured in bourbon casks before undergoing an exceptionally long 18-month finish in Jamaican rum casks. This carefully balanced secondary maturation was perfected through a lengthy development process to achieve maximum aromatic depth and balance. For the first time, a blend from the range is bottled at 43% ABV, allowing the texture, expression and cask character to shine through with particular precision. The Togouchi Rum Cask Finish remains true to the brand’s clear, pure and elegant style, whilst adding a subtle exotic note to the portfolio.
