The Macallan 12 Years Old Sherry Oak Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky is one of the classic expressions from the historic Macallan Distillery in Speyside. The whisky is matured for at least 12 years on The Macallan Estate and forms part of the renowned Sherry Oak Collection, whose style is significantly influenced by European oak casks previously used to age sherry. The intense influence of these casks gives the single malt its characteristic blend of dried fruit, ginger, spices and oak. At the same time, the whisky’s entirely natural colour develops during the long period of cask maturation, without the need for any additional colouring agents. As it matures, the typical notes of dried fruit and woody spices develop into a complex and balanced Speyside character.

The Macallan 12 Years Sherry Oak is bottled at 40% ABV in a 0.7-litre bottle and is available in this version together with a gift box. The current design of the Macallan Sherry Oak Collection has been reinterpreted by the renowned designer David Carson and creatively reflects the journey and craftsmanship associated with the sherry casks used. The River Spey, which flows through the estate, is also closely linked to the distillery’s identity. The Macallan manages a stretch of river approximately 1.5 miles long and is committed to preserving the natural habitat and its biodiversity there. The Macallan 12 Years Old Sherry Oak, complete with its gift packaging, thus combines classic sherry cask maturation, Speyside heritage and the house’s long-standing expertise in cask management in a prestigious presentation.
