Widow Jane Rye Apple Wood Aged 46.5% ABV 0.7 l is an innovative straight rye whisky from Brooklyn, New York, which stands out thanks to a special ageing process that brings out classic rye flavours. It is produced using a high proportion of rye, which gives it its characteristic spiciness. After distillation, this whisky is not only aged in traditional casks but is also further refined with apple wood chips. This refining process gives it a unique aroma, in which the robust spiciness of the rye meets a gentle, fruity sweetness and subtle woody notes.
With an alcohol content of 46.5% vol., the Widow Jane Rye Apple Wood Aged is robust, complex and, at the same time, pleasantly approachable. The Widow Jane Distillery is renowned for its experimental cask maturations and also uses the mineral-rich water from the limestone springs of Rosendale, New York, for its whiskies – a further factor that underlines their authenticity and quality.
